The company is the controller for its own handling of enquiries and rights requests. This notice does not appoint another business as a joint controller or authorise sale of an enquiry.

An enquiry about storage space and access arrangements

If you separately contact us to request steps towards your own possible contract, we use your name, reply details and relevant requirements to consider and answer that request. Article 6(1)(b) applies only to the necessary requested pre-contract steps. Storage availability, permitted goods, access, security provisions and any insurance must be stated in the actual storage agreement. Website images do not establish the condition or security of a particular unit.

The company and the business email services described below handle emailed correspondence. Our adopted rule is to delete or irreversibly anonymise ordinary closed enquiries six months after the last meaningful contact. An enquiry that becomes an engagement moves into the separate records needed for that engagement; it does not remain indefinitely in the enquiry category.

Purpose: Respond to an individual’s request for a quotation or pre-contract steps about storage space and access arrangements.

Information used: chosen reply details. enquiry text. relevant service requirements.

Reason for this use: Applies only where the individual requests steps necessary for their own possible contract; it is not a blanket basis for every business contact.

Company responsible for its own record: THREE ISLANDS STORAGE LTD.

Recipient category for correspondence you separately send: Business email transport and mailbox services. Suppliers routing, delivering and storing correspondence that a visitor separately chooses to send to the company.

Retention and removal: 6 months. the last meaningful contact after an ordinary enquiry has closed. The company must delete or irreversibly anonymise its ordinary enquiry record when this period ends, unless a separately documented legal hold applies.

Storage space enquiries — preparing a message

The enquiry tool uses message text and any name, reply details, telephone or service preference you choose to provide in the current page’s memory. Name, reply-email and telephone fields are optional for preparing text. For a useful first discussion, describe approximate space, intended duration and broad goods category. Do not send inventories with serial numbers and values, lock codes or personal documents stored in boxes.

Validation prepares readable text on your device. You then choose whether to copy it, download a text file or open a separate email application. Preparing, copying or downloading a message is not delivery, a booking or acknowledgement by the company. The tool does not make a form submission, use a relay, or send the draft to Microsoft or Google.

The basis is Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in providing the local drafting facility that you choose to use. We minimise the impact by keeping this operation in the current document, without saved drafts or automatic dispatch. The application keeps no draft in cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage. Drafts remain in page/browser memory until cleared, replaced or discarded by the browser. Back/forward navigation and browser restoration can restore form state; leaving a page does not guarantee immediate deletion of all browser-held copies. Editing the original fields clears the generated copy.

If you copy text, the clipboard is controlled by your device. A downloaded file remains until you delete it. If you choose email, review the recipient and contents in your email application and send them there. Your mail service then handles its own copy under its terms; the website does not confirm delivery.

Purpose: Let a visitor prepare a message about storage space and access arrangements on their own device.

Information used: reply email. optional telephone.

Reason for this use: Our legitimate interest is to offer a convenient, visitor-controlled way to compose an enquiry without receiving its contents through the website.

Responsible company: THREE ISLANDS STORAGE LTD. This identifies the company responsible for offering the local preparation feature; it does not mean that typed fields are transmitted to the company. Receipt occurs only if you separately choose to contact it.

Retention and removal: Page/browser memory until the draft is cleared, replaced or the browser discards its document state; history navigation or browser restoration can restore form state. when a visitor types into the composer. Clear or replace the draft to remove the application’s current text. Editing original fields clears the generated copy. No application storage record is written; browser restoration, clipboard, downloaded files and mail applications are separately controlled by the visitor.

Business questions and follow-up

For general questions or correspondence from someone acting for an organisation, we use the name, business reply details, message and relevant follow-up. Our basis is Article 6(1)(f): the legitimate interest in answering an expected, relevant business communication about storage space and access arrangements. This does not enrol you in marketing or give permission to disclose another person’s private records.

Use is limited to the discussion, with access restricted to people who need to handle it. You may object to this legitimate-interest processing. The same adopted company rule applies: delete or irreversibly anonymise an ordinary closed enquiry six months after the last meaningful contact. This company rule is separate from a supplier’s mailbox, archive or backup schedule.

Purpose: Answer general questions and correspondence from representatives concerning storage space and access arrangements.

Information used: business contact details. follow-up correspondence.

Reason for this use: Our legitimate interest is to handle relevant business correspondence and maintain a proportionate record of the discussion.

Technical requests and advertising link parameters

Opening a hosted page necessarily sends a request to the website delivery infrastructure. This can include the IP address, request time, browser information and requested URL. A URL can contain parameters: for example, msclkid can be added when a link originates from Microsoft Advertising. A query string can therefore reach the web host as part of that request even though the local composer does not read it into the message.

The purpose and Article 6(1)(f) legitimate interest are delivering pages, diagnosing faults and protecting service availability, rather than tracking individual interests. Technical information belongs to the hosting category below. The company’s six-month enquiry rule does not set a host’s log, incident, cache or backup lifetime. Our duty is to limit those categories and contract for a justified deletion schedule before personal information is entrusted to the service.

This version contains no Microsoft UET, analytics tag or Google map. The composer sends neither enquiry contents nor browsing events to Microsoft; no advertising consent is requested for a tag that is absent. A link parameter by itself does not establish that an advertising campaign is running. Microsoft’s handling of its own services is explained in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Purpose: Deliver website requests, diagnose faults and protect availability.

Information used: browser information supplied with the request. requested URL including any query parameters.

Reason for this use: Our legitimate interest is website delivery and protection from abuse; this is separate from enquiry content and any advertising purpose.

Recipient category for technical requests: Website delivery and security infrastructure. Suppliers providing web hosting, content delivery, request handling and infrastructure security for this website.

Website delivery and security infrastructure

Suppliers providing web hosting, content delivery, request handling and infrastructure security for this website.

An appointed service provider must handle the company’s data only under documented instructions, subject to the applicable service and data-processing terms.

This category concerns page requests and technical delivery information, not transmission of text typed into the local enquiry tool.

The company must establish the operator, permitted services, processing and access countries, subprocessors and an applicable Article 28 processing agreement before entrusting personal data to a supplier. It must specify the supplier’s own retention for active data, archives and backups, the starting event and deletion arrangements. The company enquiry and rights-request periods above do not establish deletion from a supplier’s systems.

For any restricted transfer from the UK, the company must assess the actual route and put a valid UK transfer basis in place, including onward access. UK adequacy or contractual safeguards apply only where their conditions are met; this notice does not assert a certification or signed instrument for an individual supplier. Write to the postal privacy contact above to request the recipient details, applicable countries and a copy or explanation of the relevant safeguards.

This category concerns only correspondence you choose to send separately. Opening an email draft is not an instruction from this website to send it automatically. Your own mail service also processes the copy you send under its own terms.

Keeping the right record, rather than the whole discussion

If an actual engagement creates accounting, tax, contract or regulatory records, those records need a separate documented schedule tied to the relevant document and legal duty. There is no single five-year period for every enquiry or every UK business record. We must tell you about any further purpose before reusing your information where the law requires.

A specific dispute, legal obligation or preservation notice can justify retaining the minimum relevant material for longer. The reason, records affected and review point must be documented; an open-ended possibility of a future claim is not a reason to keep every enquiry. The website asks for no account creation, payment credentials or special-category records.

Your rights and the Three Islands Storage contact route

You may ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access and a copy, subject to lawful protection of other people’s information.

You may ask us to correct inaccurate information or complete an incomplete record.

You may request deletion where the legal conditions are met. This right is not absolute, including where a legal obligation or properly supported legal claim requires retention.

You may request restricted use while accuracy, an objection or another relevant legal issue is examined.

You have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, explaining your particular circumstances. We must stop unless a lawful overriding reason or legal-claims exception applies. You may always object to direct marketing.

Data portability

For information you supplied and which we process by automated means on consent or contract grounds, you may request a structured, commonly used, machine-readable copy and transmission where technically feasible.

The enquiry tool does not use a consent checkbox as permission to send a message. If a separate activity relies on your consent, you may withdraw it using the contact route above without affecting lawful processing before withdrawal.

You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not have to use our complaints procedure first.

Contact is voluntary and there is no legal duty to use the enquiry tool. Name, telephone and reply-email fields are optional when preparing text. For a response through a separate channel, we need a usable reply route and enough detail to answer; omitting these can prevent a response. Preparing text alone does not contact the company.

The website makes no solely automated decision with legal or similarly significant effects and uses no advertising profiles. Browser validation checks completeness or format, not eligibility for a service.

We must respond without undue delay, normally within one calendar month. Where the law permits extra time for a complex or numerous request, we must explain the extension and reasons within the initial month. We request only proportionate identity information and explain any lawful refusal or fee.

Policy version: 18 October 2026. This notice applies to THREE ISLANDS STORAGE LTD and threeislandsstorageltd.com. Changes to purposes, suppliers or data flows require a fresh review before those changes take effect.

Care with correspondence and future changes

We must limit access, use proportionate security and respond appropriately to a personal-data incident. Ordinary email is not a suitable route for passwords, full identity documents, medical histories or other high-risk material. Contact us first to arrange a suitable method if such information is genuinely necessary.

A future embedded service, saved draft, tracking facility or new purpose needs its own assessment and accurate notice. Review the date above when returning to this policy. The Cookie Policy explains browser state and the information controls for this version.
